2 - Little Moran Hunt Club
Invitational at 5:00 p.m. There
will be clay pigeon competition, raffles, games, and a wild game feed for just
$10.50/person. Both Brainerd
Sertoma Clubs and their guests
are invited. There will also be a
pheasant hunt earlier in the day for those interested.

interested in purchasing a red Brainerd Area Sertoma club shirt,
please contact Karen Owen.
Following sizes are available: 1-small, 2-medium, 1-large,
3-xlarge and 2-xxlarge.

Karen can order more.

“Coats for Kids” drive with distribution Nov. 13.
There will be a box at the Sertoma meeting for hats, mittens,
and coat donations with cleaning provided by Crystal Cleaners. Our club is also considering a donation to purchase new
stocking hats and mittens.

Sertoman of the Day |
|
Rory Coit was our Sertoman
of the Day. Rory is a
North Dakota native. He
was in dairy farming from 1977 through 1985.
He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Richmond.
When the farm economy went bad, Rory moved on to greener
pastures to Brainerd in 1985 and then on to Aitkin where he was the
mayor for six years (won on a write-in vote).
In 1994 he moved his family to the Bay Lake area where he and
his wife own their own business, Wooden Nickels Gift Shop.
Rory is also employed with The Office Shop. He has three daughters - a senior, junior and freshman.

Sertoma
lost a valued member with the death of Jon Haapajoki on
Wednesday, October 27th, after a valiant fight against cancer.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 30th, from 5:00 p.m.
to 9:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31,
at the Brainerd High School Gym.
Arrangements are being handled by Halvorson-Johnson
Funeral Home in Brainerd.
