Sertoman of the Year and Service to Mankind
awards are coming up. The Sertoman of the
Year committee will be meeting under the
direction of Lori Rubin. The deadline is
December 1st. Karen Owen will be working on
the Service to Mankind nominee. If you would

Flag Announcement: The flags are all
at Mid State and need to be cleaned and put
away in the next few weeks. They need to be
rolled up and stored in back. Some will need
to be taken off their poles. See Beth

Winter Wonderland announcement-Bill
Goers is looking for some minor electrical
skills captains for bulb checking at Winter
Wonderland. Quite a bit of the testing can
be done inside before the end of October.

Laura Beilke who is our Foundation Rep and Karen
Owen who is District Governor presented today.
President LoAnn complimented both of these active
members on their willingness to go above and beyond
our club in responsibility. Karen remarked, "Our
club excels and what we excel in is camaraderie."
Karen delivered the badges that we won this year.
Our Brainerd Club banner is missing and she is
putting out the word to return it if you know where
it is. Recruitment and retention are the mainstays
of the energize theme. Membership in the region and
district is declining, but we can do something about
it by simply asking people to join. One of
Karen's goals is to expand the Safe Ears.
