Program
Bob Schricker, of Breath of Life Adult Day Care ServicesAdult day care is an idea that is relatively new to Minnesota and definitely new to Brainerd. According to today's speaker, Bob Schricker, of Breath of Life Adult Day Care Services, this program has been around for about fifteen years. He and his partner Liz Martinson, an RN and the Program Director, strive to provide an encouraging, caring, Christian Atmosphere designed to support dependent adults and their families or care givers. Their site is located in the Woodland Acres Retirement Homes and provides an alternative for many people who normally would have to be sent to nursing homes. The program is funded through grants and social services and also through fees. The program works with home care services, and hospices and is licensed by the Department of Social Services It is available five days a week from 7:30-5:00 and transportation is available. Participants can be involved for any length of time Bob's face glowed as he described the changes in Anna in the three weeks since she has been coming to their facility. He talked about the crafts, the companionship, the tasty nutritional meals, and the opportunities offered for respite from care giving. He encouraged Sertomans to spread the word about the facility and to visit if possible.

Find a Sawbuck Corner:
The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never respond. This weekıs winners were Rory Coit, and Reed Campbell and Kevin Donnay. This week's winners both collected: Tami Webb and Taylor Torgerson.
Photos Photos Everywhere Whew, over 70 new photos have been uploaded to the MSN Community Page where your hard working photographer is now storing photos. This community is for the club, easy to join and gives you the opportunity to add edit or delete any photos that are posted as well as leave messages for fellow Sertomans. It is a good way to thank someone for doing a good job or give them some positive feedback for a big event in their life. If you wish to view the photographs of the Ditch Pick (subtitled Dave Clausenıs Bachelor Party and including some photos from the actual wedding dance) either click on this link or cut and paste this address in the browser window: http://communities.msn.com/BrainerdNoonSertoma/_whatsnew.msnw If you are looking for a name to match a face, Pam is also trying to take current head shots of all Sertoma members and providing an online directory at the same location.
