Bob Nibbe announced the prize winners of the National Heritage Essay Contest sponsored by the Brainerd Area Sertoma Club. This year's topic was "What are the most valuable traditions or customs handed down to you by your ancestors?" The selection committee read all 120 entries and were extremely pleased by the exceptional quality and the innovative ideas expressed by these young writers. The following are the names of the prize winners followed by their school,
teacher, and prize.

It's time to get started on the Rookie Party plans. Currently this committee is in need of a Chair and Co-chair. Anyone interested in either of these

Those of signed up for our first Pipe and Drape remember to be at Rohlfing's this Friday at 5 p.m. to set up and on Monday the 20th take down is at 3:30.
The first official Brainerd Serteen Club meeting will be Thursday March 30th at 5:30 at Pizza Hut in Brainerd. Free pizza and pop will be served.
Encourage your high schooler to become involved with this great group.
Here is an update on the Haappajoki Casino fund raiser, which now has the title
"Celebration". The planners hope this event will be a true celebration of Jon's life.
