Program
We had a three part program today. Our guest was Phil Holbrook who was here to announce the first Egofest Film Festival which will be held at the Franklin Arts Center on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. About half of the short films entered are by Minnesota artists with the rest coming in from all over the United States. Length of the films runs from one to thirty minutes and the morning films are suitable for children. Cost is $15 with the proceeds going into the $2,000 prize pool that brought the entries into the competition.

CoitRory Coit hit the highlights of his last Board Meeting. Rory was named District Sertoman of the Year at the recent convention and received a plaque today from outgoing District Governor Tami Webb. Congratulations Rory and thanks for all your service to mankind and especially for your outstanding service to the Noon Sertoma Club.

Notes from the meeting include three adds and three drops and a motion to fund a interpreter for a deaf child who is playing baseball this summer. The Park committee and the Winter Wonderland Committee had reports but the main issue was financial. The Board decided to add $10 per member to our dues to cover rising costs. The big item of course is the food expenses that have risen because we have less members. In-coming President Steve Mau has decided that it is time to push for new members again. Sertoma International is also raising dues $15 per year. The main concern is pricing people out of continuing membership.

JelinskiRory Coit was proud to name his Rookie of the Year for 2004. He included a brief apology for the tardiness of the award. Byran Jelinski of Baxter Cub Foods was the surprised recipient of this honor.

StoltmanNewly instituted runner up plaques were also presented today with Dick Stoltman named as one and with a future honoree to be announced.

Dave Clausen also has plaques to present but only Kari Barnes of ABC Collision was present to receive a 2005 Runner Up Rookie Award.

Tom KotulaOur Service to Mankind Award winner, Tom Kotula, also went on to win at the District level. He and his wife attended today's meeting to receive the award.

Thanks Pam Sachs for taking notes!

Jeff Olson spoke along with Dave Clause on the success of the Mariucci Fiesta. Dave talked about how enjoyable it was to be a part of the crowd. He had a great time and did an excellent job as Master of Ceremonies. The club gave him a standing ovation for his year as president. Jeff opened his remarks by saying "Some amazing things happened Friday!". The bar income was $2,600, we cooked and served over 800 thanks to Cub Foods and the crew organized by Julia Sullivan and Gary Loge. Joyce and the auction crew are looking at a total that could get as high as $25,000 and this year's raffle tickets were outstanding.

Thanks to the Pipe and Drape Cleaning Crew that met this morning at the laundromat to clean up our drapes.

Thanks Art Becker for stepping in and handling our greeting and ticket sales. GREETERS PLEASE CALL SOMEONE TO SUB FOR YOU IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT!!!!!
