Today was a day to thank people for their involvement in a very
successful Sertoma Mariucci Fiesta (click
here for photo's). Julie Sullivan took a moment
to mention that everyone made her “look good” even though she was
a little “weak in the knees” right before the event. Many great
compliments were heard by people who were eating the wonderful
food prepared under her direction and by so many wonderful
volunteers. There were too many people to thank but she wanted to
mention Diane Ulmen for the use of the It’s About Thyme Catering
kitchen for preparing the foccaccia bread. Jeff Olson got up and
talked about all the old faces he saw at the Fiesta but he was
especially pleased by the number of new Sertomans who were
prominent. He especially thanked Rory for an excellent job on the
mike as Master of Ceremonies. He shared the total raised which was
$21,500 including $2,000 from the bar, $3700 for the silent
auction and well over $15,000 for the Live Auction. This year saw
over 500 participants in the tourneys and all of them were echoing
Jeff after Friday night’s successful event, “Sertoma—you’re
awesome!” Kari Robinson and Paul Keprios did an excellent job of
lining up help. Special thanks goes to Joyce Anderson and her crew
who organized that extremely successful auction. If you would like

Rory also reported on the Board Meeting. Officially we are
proceeding with the Lights Project. Steve Mau and Steve
Augustinack realize there are many questions, but they would like
to keep the discussion of the issues among the membership until we
“officially” announce the project. The majority of the people at
the meeting voted to give the Board and the Committee our support
to proceed. If you have any questions, contact either Steve for
more answers. They also shared their draft of the sponsorship
flyer. They are looking for people to chair committees. |

| Remember:
Greeters (Be sure to take care of your duties that include meeting
people at the door and getting the ticket money counted and
divided with half going to Tami to give away and half to Diane for
the social committee's budget). As greeter you have several
duties. You need to arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job
to greet people, help them find their badges and sell them a
ticket if they wish to participate. The money collected must be
divided by the Greeters equally--half goes to the Current Club
Treasurer and half goes to the Club President along with the
bucket of tickets. Be there by 11:45 and call somebody if you

community is for the club, easy to join and gives you the
opportunity to add edit or delete any photos that are posted as
