Program
Lori ElwoodOne of our newest members, Lori Elwood, introduced us to the Center of Possibilities. Billed as a place to nurture your mind, body and spirit their stated goal is "We provide opportunities to individuals and the community by inspiring self-improvement and growth". Lori and her business partners are located next to the Arboretum and Curves and offer classes, therapy and a retail store. Lori wanted to especially bring the new teen class for improving self esteem that is starting Monday June 30th and running for four consecutive Mondays after that. The acronym ROSE which stands for raising our self esteem is used to describe these classes lead by Waloter "Bear" Hartell, a professional spiritual and person coach. We had an interesting discussion of "ear candeling" lead by Lori Ukkelberg who has experience it first hand. Other interesting offerings include such topics as "Let's Talk about Hormones", "Manifesting Miracles, Abundance and Incredible Relationships" and many more. Edie thought her class would definitely be "Dancing Outside the Box". Welcome to Sertoma Lori and thanks for an interesting introduction to the Center of Possibilities. We are all invited to the Grand Opening on Saturday, July 19th.

Gary checked in from 40 miles south of Iowa. The pledge sheet went around and over $400 was raised for the cause. The Sponsorship Committee voted to donate $300 to Kinship Partners to support Gary's effforts. He will be rolling into town July 3rd and would like as many Sertomans as possible to dig out their bicycles and join him for the last two miles. Tom Rosenberger and Betty have already signed up. Go to www.milesformentoring.com to find out when and where to meet Gary that day. Tami Webb will also have that information.
Joe Schulte got up and thanked all the gossamer ceiling helpers. Response was so good that both the set up and the takedown happened in record time.
FAS: Both Curt Olson and Amarie Nelson won their FAS money this week. Thanks goes to Curt from Tom Rosenberger for donating his winnings to Shoes for Haiti. Don't forget that Father Glen will be at Sertoma next week to give us an update on their progress.

Greeter Schedule
Remember: Greeters (Be sure to take care of your duties that include meeting people at the door and getting the ticket money counted and divided with half going to Tami to give away and half to Diane for the social committee's budget). As greeter you have several duties. You need to arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job to greet people, help them find their badges and sell them a ticket if they wish to participate. The money collected must be divided by the Greeters equally--half goes to the Club Treasurer (Diane Rook Johnson) and half goes to the Club President along with the bucket of tickets. Be there by 11:45 and call somebody if you can't. Call Patty Hartman.
July 2 Eric Paulsen, Carole Paulson, Steve Pelkey
July 9 Gary Phillips, Randy Phillips, Jim Potvin
July 16 Dave Pundt, John Raboin, Lori Ukkelburg

Notes
Rumors Corner:
  • Ask Mark Korte about how to become a nude banker.
  • Ear candling was reduced to a "mind-blowing" experience especially for the ladies.
  • Find a sawbuck winners this week are Brian Skogen and Kevin Goedker who both can be richer if they phone Pam before next Tuesday and attend next week's meeting.
Find a Sawbuck Corner: Call 829-7761
The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never respond.
Photos Photos Everywhere New photos go up almost every week on our new MSN Community homepage. This community is for the club, easy to join and gives you the opportunity to add edit or delete any photos that are posted as well as leave messages for fellow Sertomans. It is a good way to thank someone for doing a good job or give them some positive feedback for a big event in their life. If you wish to view the current photographs or check out the new online directory go to:  http://communities.msn.com/BrainerdNoonSertoma/_whatsnew.msnw
