Mariucci memories continued at today's meeting. Jeff Olson, Executive Director of Confidence Learning Center, spoke to the group about Camp Confidence and the Sertoma involvement with fund raising and volunteer work. Jeff expressed his overwhelming pride in the contribution that Sertoma has made to the growth of the Sertoma Mariucci Festival. With both the fishing and the golf filled to capacity, about 2400 people will be involved in the tournaments. This is Camp Confidence's biggest fund raiser of the year. It generates income from participants, from sales of booster tickets, and from the live and silent auction held at the Fiesta. The food that is prepared and served at camp by the Sertomans was intended to draw these people to camp so that they can see first hand what their participation means to Camp Confidence. "I can remember when there were only two golf tournaments a year in this area and we were one of them," commented Mr. Olson. FAS 829-7761 Kevin Goedker. He continued, "It's wonderful to see the high success of ours." He
estimates that the event will raise from $50,000 to 70,000 for Camp. Sertoma has been involved in the event in one way or another since 1980 and currently is very active in making the event very successful.
