Mick
Johnson from Gander Mountain came to speak today. Gander Mountain
started as a catalog company and their motto is "We Live
Outdoors." Anyone who has ever been in one of their stores
realizes that they try to sell everything that relates to outdoor
activities. Gander Mountain is a leading specialty retailer that
serves the needs of outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts, with a
particular focus on hunting, fishing, camping and boating. In
the 60's they joined up with the Holiday Stores and then joined up
with Burger Brothers. At the beginning of June 2006, the Company
had 100 Gander Mountain outdoor lifestyle stores in 18 states -
Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky,
Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, North
Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin. The
first store was located in Wisconsin. Ninety per cent of the
employees in the Brainerd/Baxter store are from the Brainerd area.
They currently employ 47 people.
The Gander Lodge is a meeting room located in the back of the
store that is available for non-profit agencies. Mick has an
appreciation for how hard members of service organizations work
and hopes that Gander Mountain can support Sertoma in the future.
Gander Mountain has been a big supporter of the Camp Confidence
Classic for many years and has already demonstrated a willingness
to become involved in community activities. |

emailing them promptly to Pam so she could get the

| Announcements |
| Thank you to those members from the Camp
Sertoma Club who are working hard at Camp Sertoma this
week. Volunteers are needed to help serve meals for next
week's camp. |
| We need new and old members to sign up for
Sertoman of the Day. It's a great way to introduce
yourself to members of the club and for others to get to know
more about you and your business. Also, if you have sponsored
a new member recently, encourage them to sign up. Spots are
wide open. Look for the sign up sheet to be passed around at
the meeting or call Sandra Bonde at 829-8852. |

| Greeter
Schedule |
|
| Remember:
As greeter you have several duties. You need to arrive about 10
minutes early. It is your job to greet people, help them find
their badges and sell them a ticket if they wish to participate.
The money collected must be divided by the Greeters equally--half
goes to the Current Club Treasurer for the social committee and
half goes to the Club President along with the bucket of tickets.
Be there by 11:45 and call somebody to substitute for you if you
can't be there. |
