Program
The main topic for today’s meeting was the Board Report. Rory explained that the budget for 2006 is set and approved with the additions of the Sertoma Cares Program and the $1,000 allotment for individual hearing aide assistance. Last year our income was $147,000 with a profit of $121,000, our expenditures were $107,000 with a balance of $13,541. We did vote to support the Foundation this year and our President Dave Clausen who is in New Orleans on business will present a check for about $4,000. The Budget will be available in the next few weeks and you can request a copy from Joyce Anderson. Other items included the fact that we now have a written agreement with Bemidji for Pipe and Drape. Flag Day at Crow Wing County Fair will be added to the rest of the schedule for this year that includes Labor Day and Nine Eleven. The Board voted to give $500 to both of the Relay for Life teams and they would like to add Sertoma luminaries for members and family members that have battled cancer—see either Captain to add names to the list. The final item was the official count for service hours of 4,755.
Thanks Cheryal Hills for taking notes!!!!
Since there weren’t any pictures to be taken and Pam was trying out a new camera, here is a little photo montage of some of our members.

Remember: Greeters (Be sure to take care of your duties that include meeting people at the door and getting the ticket money counted and divided with half going to Tami to give away and half to Diane for the social committee's budget). As greeter you have several duties. You need to arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job to greet people, help them find their badges and sell them a ticket if they wish to participate. The money collected must be divided by the Greeters equally--half goes to the Current Club Treasurer and half goes to the Club President along with the bucket of tickets. Be there by 11:45 and call somebody if you can't. Call Patty Hartman.

Rumor Corner
  • Paul Gropper made a big splash as Sergeant today—I think he fined just about everyone!!!
  • Charlie Bartels Fishing Enterprises, here today and gone tomorrow.
  • Dave Clausen is doing what in New Orleans?
  • Men from the Relay for Life Team are all out training (where were Dave Burggraff and Jeff Olson today?) They left Bonnie Cumberland to hold up their side of the rivalry.
  • Hey all you ROOKIES out there—it is time to plan a spectacular party to commemorate your initiation into Sertoma.
  • Dick Stoltman and Bonnie Cumberland are now the radar twosome.
  • Brian Kirkpatrick had some fine problems today, something to do with hugging golf and getting beaned on the head with the microphone.
  • Rory got accused of using Cliff Notes to present his Board Report.
