Cindy Clough, Founder and Executive Director of Just for Kix, was today's featured speaker at Sertoma. Cindy personifies the success story of someone who has started a small business at home that has grown into an enterprise. From 131 dance pupils,
Just for Kix has mushroomed into 11,000 dancers, about 22 workshops and 15 camps around the country, a clothing manufacturing section, 250 employees (about 30 in Brainerd) and a business that needs the services of her husband Steve who is now in charge of their new online operation at
www.justforkix.com. Cindy started working for the Brainerd School District in 1976 and continues
to coach the Kixters to many successes. For instance the 2000 team won regions and took 3rd in state with their High Kick
"Shake Like an Earthquake" routine. Fas 829-7761 Jim Knutsen. She has done 14 bowl games from the Freedom Bowl to the Orange Bowl. She started the business in 1981 so that she could spend more time at home with her own children and her concern for all kids was very evident in her speech.
From her involvement in MADT (Minnesota Association of Dancelines) to writing guest columns for Dance Drill Magazine, Cindy motivates dancers. Using practical experience she teachers them how to set goals and most of all how to achieve them with a combination of experience and practical knowledge.
Thank you Cindy for kicking up your heels with the Sertomans.

|

|
|
It was difficult to squeeze in all the information on today's beloved Sertoman of the Day Mark Puschinsky. Mark has been a member of Sertoma since who know's when and has always been involved in club activities. His wit and humor are renowned and much appreciated by the members. His dedication to Sertoma has been very evident over the years. Mark is from Grand Forks and graduated from college with a BS in Business Administration. He has owned Midtown Floral with his wife Linda since 1982. He and his son own Gina Maria's Pizza. He is very proud of his 5 grand children. His hobbies include hockey, softball, and bowling. His dream is the American one of making the best of his business and securing all his family emotionally, spiritually and physically. To really appreciate Mark one only has to view his presentation on the Camp Sertoma tape that was produced for the Happajoki fund raising event at the Casino. |
