Shelly Trimble was at this noon Sertoma meeting to expound on a
brand-new experience available for all but mostly for the
businesswomen in this area--the First Annual Lakes Area Womenıs
Expo which will be held at Central Lakes College on March
16,2002 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. There is still time for your
business to become involved since they are planning 100 booths
for exhibitors. They plan to have pertinent speakers throughout
the day speaking on topics such as credit, investing, dressing
for success, self defense, golfing, putting the spark back in
your marriage, fitness, etc. Shelly and a group of about fifteen
other dedicated women got together and decided to organize this
activity. They are meeting on a regular basis now and have plans
for a bigger and better expo next year. They are hoping to build
on this yearıs experiences and will be looking for ideas and
corporate sponsors for next year. As Shelly expressed it, "There
are numerous successful women in the area" and it is time to
focus on them. They started with the home based businesses such
as Mary Kay and Tupperware and coordinated their efforts with
the Brainerd Daily Dispatchıs salute to women in their March
Women in Business issue. fas 829-7761 Tony Sarff Shelly has
started her own business called AccountAbility Solutions where
she hopes to work with small businesses who need accounting
business management skills on a part time basis. |

Find a Sawbuck Corner:
The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never respond. |
