Dawn Stattine - 12-8-99 Dawn Stattine, Community Development Specialist, Lakeland Public TV, presented her exciting information on the Brainerd Live Capital Drive.  The group is raising money over the next 3 years to provide local news, sports, and weather for the Brainerd area through public television as well as complete the office and the studio and provide local live programming.  Sertomans are encouraged to get involved through pledges and volunteering.  The success of their local news program , Lakeland News at Ten, convinced them of the necessity to bring "grassroots tv" to Brainerd.

Sertoman of the Day

Mark Hegstrom was Sertoman of the Day.  He works as a program director at WJJY and had many "wonderful" things to say about his boss, Mike Boen.  He and his wife Kathy have three kids who have kept them involved in hockey.  He shared his amusing stories about his first job in a polka radio station.  His hobbies include playing recreational sports, fishing and boating.  He and his wife both plan to get more involved in community service when their children are grown up.
