| Brian Kirkpatrick, poster
boy extraordinary, introduced the guest speaker -- Sharon
Severson, coordinator for the Junior Achievement Program in
the Brainerd Schools. Sharon
explained that the program has been expanded to 143 classrooms
this year and she is looking for volunteers.
They must volunteer to spend 30-53 minutes once a week
for about five weeks working with students hands on to
“inspire young people to value free enterprise to improve
their quality of life.”
All materials are provided.
Sharon gave such an inspirational speech, reinforced by
the many Sertoma members who had already volunteered, that 14
people signed up and more than filled her quota. Good going Sertomans! |
