As greeter you have several duties. You need to arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job to greet people, help them find their badges and sell them a ticket if they wish to participate. The money collected must be divided by the Greeters equally--half goes to the Current Club Treasurer and half goes to the Club President along with the bucket of tickets. Be there by 11:45 and call somebody if you can't. Call Patty Hartman.

Sertoman of the Day

Many apologies to today’s Sertoman of the Day Val Fiksdal with Ikon Office Solutions. Pam seems to have a problem spelling her name and apologizes. Val was shared the story of how she decided to name her daughter Selby—a very romantic story about where she was living when she met her husband, Jason. Her hometown is Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and she attended college in Duluth. She originally joined Sertoma to network and make new friends and her sponsor was Joe Schulte. Ikon Office Solutions is basically about copiers, printers and fax machines but Val wanted to emphasize that she is here to advise people about document management solutions as well. She told us about her college experiences in Sweden and how embarrassing it was to read a poorly translated (into Swedish) essay written for her class in front of her new boyfriend’s Swedish family.

Of Note
The Flag Committee is gearing up for next year and looking for new members willing to go out and sell more flags. This highly successful fund raiser continues to expand thanks to the hard work of Beth Burnard and Mike Howard.
Rumor Corner
  • Val Fiksdal, the new language of love expert (President Clausen)
  • Paul n Pooch fines were paid today. Santa didn’t think that two meetings qualified Paul Koering to include himself as “we” in the dog pound.
  • Trent Broomball Baumann fined everyone who hadn’t done enough bell ringing so Paul Gropper got to be Santa Clause instead of Scrooge.
  • Sincerest Holiday wishes to all of Sertoma Land!!!
