Our scheduled speaker did not show up today so instead we are
celebrating the fact that we achieved our Gold Honor Club status
with the International today. After a special vote to admit the
three new members who showed up with applications and checks in
hand, we were at the magic number of 215 members. This
represents a total net gain of 25 members this year The Gold
Honor Award has been awarded to the club three years in a row
and six out of the last seven years. This phenomenal growth
explains why our club continues to be the largest Sertoma Club
in the world. It is time to stop and take note of the
accomplishments of this year's officers and issue a big thank
you as the next meeting will see their term of office end. Diane
Rook Johnson took advantage of this opportunity to thank
everyone for the privilege of being treasurer this year. The
honor roll of officers will be a special part of the Officer
Induction which will be held September 10th. Randy and P am are
promising a very special five course meal which will showcase
their new facility and everyone should plan on attending. Tami's
somebody, everybody, no one and someone that helped her achieve
her gold coat and join the ranks of such dignitaries as Tom
Rosenberger, Mike Boen, Dave Burggraff, and Gary Walters to
mention only a few are (left to right in picture: Bill
Livingston of Bremer Bank, Randy Hukried of the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency, Kirk Helmberger of WalMart, and Randy
Aldous of Bisys Retirement Services. Isn't it great that we made
them smile and not look so serious !!! Welcome to the club and
thank you for helping us achieve our membership goal. |

| Greeter
Schedule |
|
Remember: Greeters
(Be sure to take care of your duties that include meeting people
at the door and getting the ticket money counted and divided
with half going to Tami to give away and half to Diane for the
social committee's budget). As greeter you have several duties.
You need to arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job to
greet people, help them find their badges and sell them a ticket
if they wish to participate. The money collected must be divided
by the Greeters equally--half goes to the Club Treasurer (Diane
Rook Johnson) and half goes to the Club President along with the
bucket of tickets. Be there by 11:45 and call somebody if you
can't. Call Patty Hartman. |

Of Note: |
|
|
|
Thanks to Edie Hindman for her great work this year as Sergeant.
She can be especially remembered for her talent for coming up with
great nicknames--Coupon Jeff, Pokey Engstrand, Bookie Boen --to
name a few. |
|
|
|
Lowell got called on the carpet and fined for his sooner nooner
club. Edie checked with him to see what time it started--she
didn't want to be late. |
|
|
|
You can get fined for having too many Jeremys in your life. |
|
|
|
Big Note: the new member that Pam brought in last week is
not named Tim, Bob or Alphonse. His real name is Bill.

The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the
newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from
reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS
followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just
leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to
collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never
respond.

new MSN Community homepage. This community is for the club, easy
to join and gives you the opportunity to add edit or delete any
photos that are posted as well as leave messages for fellow
