Program
Sertoma Noon teamAnother meeting without an official program. We did, however have two great reports from the Sertoma Golf Tournament and the Applebee’s fundraiser. With some late additions of outright donations, Dave Burggraff was pleased to announce that they had met their goal and raised somewhere fas 829-7761 Hawk Hawkinson in the neighborhood of $8,000. It was a splendid fall day at the Vintage Golf Course in Staples and many noon Sertomans turned out to support the cause and enjoy a fine day of golfing and a great dinner afterwards. They included the official Sertoma Noon team pictured left to right: Todd Froemming, Bonnie Franke, Deb Ryan and Kevin Goedker. RegistrationIf you didn’t put this on your calendar this year, be sure to consider it next year. Dave thanked all the members of the Camp Sertoma Club who helped and especially thanked Paul Gropper, Mike Howard, Todd Dunlap, Bob Ehrich, Pam Sachs and the whole crew from Camp Confidence that included the Landmark Volunteers for their help. Tami Webb gave a report of the day at Applebee’s. We cannot thank Kathy Christensen enough for providing this opportunity to network with this new business. Tami and Gary spent the day at the door greeting arrivals and checking for tickets. The two neighbor Toms and their spouses seem to be enjoying themselves in the picture. The officials from Applebees think about 600 people were served in two sessions Applebeesand about $3,000 was raised for Sertoma. Tami remarked, “They were neat people, they have a great staff, and we appreciate their support and encourage you to enjoy a quality experience now that they are officially open for business. "Tami concluded her report with an invitation to join her and her family at the open wedding dance for her son at the Eagles on Saturday, August 10th.

Rumor Corner
  • RaboinWhat did Brenda say to finally render Charlie Bartels speechless?
  • What did Dave Clausen mean when he said “You still got it Les”?
  • How many people have actually turned Tami down when she offered them the job of sergeant because they don’t think they can fill the shoes of Brenda and Dave?
  • Are we leaving Bonanza? Stay tuned to find out or volunteer fas 829-7761 Rory Coit to be on the committee that makes the decision.
  • What was the usually casually dressed attorney all suave and debonair for at today’s meeting? MMMM anyone have any ideas?
  • Does Pam Sachs really keep putting Mike Howard’s name back in the pot when she draws for the FAS winners? Is it true that she now knows how to spell Applebees?
Find a Sawbuck Corner:
The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never respond.
Photos Photos Everywhere New photos go up almost every week on our new MSN Community homepage. This community is for the club, easy to join and gives you the opportunity to add edit or delete any photos that are posted as well as leave messages for fellow Sertomans. It is a good way to thank someone for doing a good job or give them some positive feedback for a big event in their life. If you wish to view the current photographs or check out the new online directory go to:  http://communities.msn.com/BrainerdNoonSertoma/_whatsnew.msnw
