Board Report

Treasurer conversion to online Quickbooks is continuing to be a challenge. Darren Larson has got things to a clearer point.

Camp Confidence Classic Golf Tournament--Mark Korte proposed a Sertoma team and a Sertoma Hole.

Mark Korte will present four scholarships from Sertoma to high school seniors on May 4th.

Restorative Justice received sponsorship money. It was discussed to support the Sertoma teams in charity events such as the Good Samaritan Bowl and Relay for Life. There was some concern about precedence and establishing guidelines. It was decided to give each Sertoma team in these events $100.

One flag route still needs a captain. It is the 80 flag Washington Route. Some questions were brought up about buying flag installation equipment for the club. The storage of the equipment as well as the high initial cost may make continuing to rent a more viable option.

Mark proposed laying out a yearly calendar that will allow better utilization of Sertoman time. The volunteer schedule is a big issue especially from the administrative point of view.

Some trailer repair for Pipe and Drape was approved.

The Brainerd Area Sertoma Club will have business cards to gIve to people for our various fund raising events. The number will connect to an automated individual chairman's voicemail. The messages will then be immediately turned into an e mail to the chairperson.

If you are interested in being on the ballot for at -large board members contact Mark Korte or Steve Mau.
Thanks Pam Sachs for taking notes, Bonnie Cumberland for her help with attendance and Mr. Handsome get up on a chair to take a really good picture Stoltman for his help with pictures.

Happy 40th Anniversary Confidence Learning Center!Forty years ago today a dream became a reality for Camp’s founder, Dick Endres. We’re celebrating 40 years of Confidence serving more than 10,000 camper days each year and providing opportunities for persons of all ages with developmental disabilities to reach higher levels of self-esteem and self-confidence. And one of the main focuses of their experience at Camp is to have FUN!Thank you Dick, donors and supporters, board of directors, staff, volunteers and Campers for making Confidence Learning Center what it is today! Jeff Olson, Executive Director (Reprented from Confidence E News)

Service Awards for this Quarter
David Downing, Jim Grant, Anita Travica, Mark Korte, Joyce Mikesh, Jerry Bohnsack, David Pundt, Darren Larson (50 Hours Community Service Award)
Karen Munsterteiger, Reed Campbell, John Raboin, Ron Morris (100 )
Tad Hoskins, Andrea Holmes (200)
Karen Owen ( 300)
Pam Sachs, Cathe Picek (400 )
Mary Marana (500 )

President Korte expressed his regrets that some people may have been offended by being asked to pay a fine for not participating in Pipe and Drape when in fact some of the people who received these awards had to pay that fine. The issue that the club needs to consider is not so much who is offended as who is not participating in any of the fund raising activities. This is a dual purpose club--however the networking side is much less important than our dedication to raising money for community needs. It Is sad that a club with so many members cannot find a way to keep all the wonderful programs that we currently have established. However, this idea of cutting programs has been discussed and will be a focus for the next few months.
