Three very important items of business today took the place of
our regular program. We held election of officers with Jim
Potvin leading that part of the meeting in his role as President
Elect. Pictured are the three new officers. Joyce Anderson won
in her race against Dennis Renowski for the office of treasurer.
Joyce Seymour will step into the third VP role in the upcoming
year. Kristine Welle is the secretary elect. We have a unique
system of officers in our Sertoma club. Everyone is given at
least a year to prepare for their duties by working with the
current officers. Becoming president is a four year process.
Secondly, Gary Walters and the crew were psyching up for Minot.
Since we are bidding for the 2006 Regional Convention, Gary was
preparing a video to be shown in Minot as part of the campaign.
Gary looks a little bit like Ron Howard standing on his chair
giving directions? The chant that those people at the convention
will hear was invented by Dave Bergin and is Oh Six In the
Sticks. We were also filmed giving our enthusiastic support to a
motion to bid for the convention.
Thirdly Kristine Welle and the Membership Committee announced
the Anniversary Luncheon to be held at the Old Waterfall next
Wednesday at noon. This meeting is especially to encourage any
old members who might be interested in rejoining our club to
come and enjoy a small celebration of our 25th anniversary. The
Anniversary committee would especially like to see past charter
members at the meeting so we can get information organized for
the Big Gala Event being held at Maddens on May 17th. Please
RSVP to 829-7761 or eglponys@brainerd.net if you are not a
regularly attending member and would like to be at the
anniversary luncheon next week |

Remember: Greeters (Be sure to take care of your duties
that include meeting people at the door and getting the ticket
money counted and divided with half going to Tami to give away
and half to Diane for the social committee's budget). As greeter you have several duties. You need to
arrive about 10 minutes early. It is your job to greet people,
help them find their badges and sell them a ticket if they wish
to participate. The money collected must be divided by the
Greeters equally--half goes to the Club Treasurer (Diane Rook
Johnson) and half goes to the Club President along with the
bucket of tickets. Be there

Find a Sawbuck Corner: Call 829-7761
The FAS Program was designed to encourage people to read the newsletter. Even those who attend the meeting can benefit from reviewing the announcements etc. If you find the letters FAS followed by your name, you must call the number provided and just leave a message that you called and attend the next meeting to collect your money. Simple--however 90% of the people never respond.

This community is for the club, easy to join and gives you the opportunity to add edit or delete any photos that are posted as well as leave messages for fellow Sertomans. It is a good way to thank someone for doing a good job or give them some positive feedback for a big event in their life.
