| Fines are one of the ways that the Brainerd Noon
Sertoma Club pays for many of its social activities. Fines are imposed
for serious "stuff" like not wearing your badge, forgetting your pin,
arriving late and leaving early. A good sergeant, however, knows how to
improvise to keep the group laughing and contributing. People are fined
for tattling on others, getting their names in the newspaper, being at
the right place at the wrong time, weighing less than a sergeant, not
knowing the names of Santa's reindeer, and so on. We have recently
started to include things such as trivia contests and happy fines. Humor
is definitely a part of Sertoma and everyone enjoys the Sergeants and
their roles in the regular meetings. Mary Marana and Pam Bye. |
